What is a tourist house ?

The tourist house is a receptive structure similar to a classical Bed & Breakfast but with some differences:

•  owner doesn't live in the structure.
  this makes possible a professional service in hotel style and our guests can feel the highest independence and privacy levels as it is possible to enter or leave at any time, day and night with no curfew. The indipendence is felt from the arrival because immediately after the booking, our guests are provided with a code to open the front door letting them to arrive at any time with no need to estimate the time of arrival nor to worry about delaies and so on.
  

• Reception open when needed only
  to keep low running costs and consequentially rates, the reception is open only when guests are arriving or departing. This does not mean that the service is missing out of opening times because it is possible to call for assistance at a telephone number  24h/24h and, if needed, the staff can be on site in less than 10 minutes.

 

• Optional breakfast not included in the rate
  This let our guests to choose what they prefer between having our breakfast or have breakfast in different places, where and when they want…. Total freedom.

 

• Free use of kitchen
  The shared kitchen is available for free to all guests who want to use it at any time and not just for breakfast. It is possible to prepare and have lunch or dinner giving the opportunity to spare big budgtes.  The kitchen is provided with stove, microwave oven, fridge, basin and kitchenware.

Is the breakfast available ?

Yes of course but this is an optional service to let people free to go where they like. Our continental breakfast (pastry, cold drink and hot drink) is served at the table in a cafè located 50 meters far from our entrance. The price is  6,00 euros per person.

Is the location central ?

Our location is unquestionably enviable by every hotel/B&B, we are exactly in the centerof the most important attractions of Florence. Need distance examples?

What is the room quality level ?

Obviously it is possible to find lower rates but we are sure to have the best quality/price ratio around here. Because of the small number of rooms (6) each room is checked daily and this makes possible to fund our service on quality and care for details with no compromises. Staves beds and anatomic matterass "Permaflex", private bathroom, SILENT air conditioning, ceiling fan, TV, telephone, handpainted forniture let our rooms to compete with good level hotels.

Do you have car parking ?

No and possibly we suggest to come to Florence wihtout a car anyway, for people whi need car parking we have an agreement with a garage close to us (300 meters) which will give a 3,00 euros discount on his daily rates  (from 18,00 to 40,00 euros depend on car size)

Do you accept children / under 18 ?

Children up to 3 years old can be accomodated freely in the room with adult relatives, in bed with high edges (max 1 per room).

Guests up to 14 years old can be accomodated in the room with an adult relative, in a standard bed.

Guests up to 18 years old can be  accomodated in the house only if 1 adult relative stays in the house.

Do you accept animals ?

No, we do not accept animals of any kind and size.

Is it possible to add a bed in a room ?

Yes, in one of our doubles is possible to add a pullout bed  with an extra charge of 12,00 euros per night.

How to reserve?

After inquiring us in your favourite way (telephone, e-mail, fax etc.) you can send confirmation giving credit card details by e-mail or by fax otherwise make a 50% deposit (minimum 1 night per booked room) by bank transfer or paypal. In case of cancellation the deposit will be refunded accordingly to our cancellation policy and retaining sustained expenses for commissions etc.

Can you make museum reservations?

Yes, if you tell us when you want to visit the museums (date and time) we can book tickets for the following museums:

Our service is free but each booked ticket has a major cost of 3,00 euros. The total amount is to be paied at the museum entrance when you get your tickets.

Please give us many visit preferred date/times because all tickets may be booked already at your choosen time. On high season it is strongly recommended to book tickets for Uffizi and Accademia galleries.
